The console that brings the whole room in.

Its own WiFi, wherever you are.

Switch it on and the Cube makes a network for the room. The internet is optional.

Every phone becomes a controller.

And a screen. Phones join from the browser, so there is nothing to install.

One light. Six colours.

White starting, blue ready, green players, purple game, orange updating, red needs a look.

Plox Cube Go

A console that brings the room, not the screen.

Most consoles gather everyone round one TV. Plox Cube Go puts the game in everybody's hand. It makes its own WiFi, keeps the lobby and the scores, and lets the phones do the playing.

How it works

Box, phones, game. That is the whole setup.

The Cube is the host. It makes the network, keeps everyone's place and holds the scores. The phones run the game together.
  1. 01

    Switch it on

The light glows white while PloxOS starts. When it turns blue, the Cube's WiFi is ready.

  2. 02

    Join the WiFi

On each phone, pick the Cube's network. The lobby opens by itself in the browser. No app, no sign up.

  3. 03

    Gather in the lobby

Names appear as people join. The light turns green when players are connected.

  4. 04

    Play

Pick a game. The rules run on one phone, every phone gets its own screen and the light turns purple.

How a game runsThe Plox Cube Go sits in the middle and makes its own WiFi. Five phones around it are connected. One phone runs the game while the Cube keeps the lobby and the scores.Runs the gameKeeps the lobby and scores

Carries on

If a phone leaves, the game does not.

Phones run out of battery, take calls and lock their screens. One phone runs each game, and every couple of seconds the Cube keeps a copy of where things stand. If that phone goes, the Cube hands the game to another phone and play continues.

Everyone sees a short note while it moves, then you carry on.

The light

No screen on the box. Just one honest light.

The O in PLOX is the Cube's only light. Learn six colours and you will always know what it is doing.

Questions

Good questions, short answers.

Do I need the internet to play?
No. The Cube makes its own WiFi and everything needed to play lives in the room. The internet only adds extras: your account, the store, downloads and updates.
Does everyone need to install an app?
No. Phones join the Cube's WiFi and the game opens in the web browser. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for.
How many people can play?
Up to 8 players, depending on the game. Some games seat fewer players and let everyone else watch along on their own phone.
What happens if someone's phone dies mid game?
The game carries on. The Cube keeps the game, the lobby and the scores, so if the phone running a game leaves, another phone picks it up. Players who drop can rejoin where they were.
Is Texas Hold'em gambling?
No. It uses free chips only. There is nothing to buy, nothing to win and nothing to cash out.
Do I need an account?
Not to play. An account at myplox.com lets you link your Cube, keep your games and get updates.
When can I buy one, and how much will it be?
We are not sharing dates or prices yet. Join the list and you will hear it from us first.
